“12 years ago at another hospital I had a failed attempt at reconstruction, after which I was told it was beyond repair and I would not walk after 40.  In the interim I have lived with constant pain and regular dislocation which severly hampered my football coaching career.  However, in 2011 I had surgery at the L&D which has revolutionised my life.  Whilst I am still on the long rehab track the results are remarkable and it is finally repaired. My surgery was highly complex and unique, but thanks to the skill and expertise of the surgeons who used pioneering techniques, I can look forward to taking part in some sport, participate in activities with my children and further my Career in football."
